Swaffham U15 entertained Diss on Sunday 15th March

The game was contested over 4 x 15 minute quarters.

First Quarter

Swaffham started off to a flyer within the first few minutes thanks the speed of Kip Charlesworth who ran 60 metres to score the first try 5 nil.

Swaffham continued their dominance and using their pack Morgan (Dale the Coaches son) scored to make it 12 nil. Conversion by Jack Standard the Captain.

Second Quarter

Diss woke up and now the contest was much more even with Diss scoring twice and Swaffham adding a third third by Morgan O’Dyer from the pack. Score was now 19 to 14 to swaffham. Conversion from Jack Standard. Game on!

Third Quarter

Although evenly balanced,Diss snatched a try to make it 19 all.

Fourth Quarter

Fiercely contested unforgiving, with no quarter given – the game was on a knife edge. Last play Kip took the ball as scrumhalf on the blindside weaving past 4 players 40 meters and was tap tackled 5 metres from the line managed to keep his composure to score in the corner.

Final score Swaffham win 24 to 19.
