We are pleased that Swaffham Men’s Shed accepted our invitation to use an existing storage shed in the grounds at North Pickenham Road, to enable their project to get off the ground.
The Swaffham Man’s Shed website summarises their aim as follows:
‘Whether it be a cuppa and a chat, or a hobbyist working on a project shoulder to shoulder with other members, we wish to eradicate the stigma around social isolation and improve mental well-being.’
Safeguards put into place due to Covid have delayed progress. With the support of a socially distanced team observing social distancing the existing shed on site was emptied and cleaned in early December, and keys have now been handed over to Shedders Fred Grange and Colin Yorke.
