How did you start playing rugby? Started at Clifton RUFC U9’s in Bristol, way back in 1984!  Followed a friend from school, having come from a footballing family, and initially played scrum half due to my size (school nickname was Mighty Mouse!)

What is your favourite moment from your rugby career so far? Gaining promotion to the Midlands Division 1 with Bromsgrove RUFC in 2002 comes a close 2nd to winning the Norfolk Plate with Swaffham in 2005!!

Why Swaffham RUFC ? I moved to North Pickenham in the summer of 1996 and joined in pre-season training at the club just to make friends – and never left!  Even when working in other areas of the UK I always came back to Swaffham RUFC when I could.  I fell in love with the people, the ethos and the camaraderie it housed.  My two boys have played here for the last 10 years and over my time I have held positions such as Fixture Secretary, Social Secretary, Treasurer, Mini’s Coach, VP’s organiser and now Chairman.  The club embodies everything that rugby is about and has given me lifelong friends that I don’t believe any other sport could offer.
