An enthralling game of two halves. Swaffham attacked from the start and Alex Clark scored inside 10 minutes to take a lead they never relinquished. The first half saw some excellent interplay, and when Ed Jones converted a penalty to put them 10-0 ahead, Norwich realised they were in for a hard afternoon. Mark Tilbrook added a second, and a beautiful conversion from wide out gave Swaffham a 17-0 lead at half time. Norwich came back strong in the second period, and maintained the pressure, but some resolute covering foiled every attempt. Down to 14 men for the last 30 mins, Swaffham defended well and continued to make some strong breaks but were unable to cross the visitors line for a third try. Swaffham travel to Diss 2nds in the next game on 15th April, and away again at Dereham on 22nd April. A win in either game could secure a place in the Big Rugby Day Final on 29th April at Wymondham.
