Dereham 14 Swaffham 48 – and through to the Cup Final!

Swaffham went through to the final of the Norfolk Junior Cup with a stuttering, but convincing win at Dereham. Two tries and a penalty early in the game should have settled the nerves, but Swaffham started to look scrappy, and a series of unnecessary penalties allowed Dereham to keep up the pressure and at half time the scoreline had closed to 17-14. A few stern words from Wayne had the desired effect, although handling mistakes were still making life difficult. But when things started to click, Swaffham looked good and five more tries were scored in the second half to book their place in next weeks final.

Kick off next Saturday 29th April at Wymondham Rugby Club will be at 11am as the opening game in the Big Rugby Day.
